Property Rates in Three Popular Noida Sectors To Rise Between 5% - 7.5%

Noida's real estate market is a popular choice due to its proximity to the capital city, and it offers affordable quality homes to the buyers. The renowned builders present in Delhi has significantly invested in the city of Noida too. While many sectors are already scoring 10/10 on the livability score, the Noida Authority is on its way to upgrade more remaining areas. The latest news making headlines is about the Sector 14-A, Sector 15-A and Sector 44.  A board meeting held on September 27 by officials of Noida Authority announced that the property rates in these three sectors will now increase by 5 to 7.5 %. 

Property rates increase in Sectors 14-A, 15-A and 44 in Noida

The land rates were last revised in 2006-07. 

The proposal to hike the property rate has been forwarded for approval by the officials. Within these three highlighted sectors, the residential plots near metro corridors would be increased by 5%, while those close to expressways would be increased by  7.5%. The rate of plots for group housing societies and the ones marked in the institutional category is likely to increase by 7%. On the other hand, the rates for commercial plots under the 2 Floor Area Ratio (FAR) category have been recently reduced by 15 %. 

Besides the property rates hike, the Noida Authority meeting brought other proposals in the forefront. Take a look at some of them, among the 33 approved proposals: 

• An 18-hole golf course over 90 acres, estimated to be developed at the cost of ₹ 255 crores. 

• A Noida convention and habitat centre at Sector 94 and start-up hubs at two places.

• The population of Noida is expected to exceed 25 lakh by the year 2031. Hence, a proposal of posting of 30 home guards who would be paid by the home guard department, UP government to address the shortage of police personnel was also discussed.

• To build a tourist spot like Chokhi Dhani of Jaipur on a 120-acre plot at Sector 151A, Noida. 

Alok Tandon, Chairperson, Noida Authority said on the same, "It is expected to provide a boost to tourism and generate more revenue for the city. A helipad would be built on a private-public partnership model on 10 acres. For adventure sports and tourist area, a 20-acre plot has been thought of".
