In an effort to help farmers become more self-sufficient, the government provides a number of subsidies. As a direct consequence of this, farmers see an increase in their incomes and are paid a reasonable price for the products they produce. The Government of Madhya Pradesh has developed a website known as the MP e-uparjan Portal. To be eligible for the assistance price offered by the government for their produce, farmers are required to register on this website.

The state-wide implementation of MP e-procurement has been planned out by the mp e-uparjan. Grain, wheat, and paddy monitoring systems are in place in all Madhya Pradesh districts. Each day, 12,834 farmers sell their wheat crop through the procurement system in Madhya Pradesh, which consists of 2,830 procurement centers, 708 runners, and 2,830 data entry operators.

Each day, more than 4,000 farmers in Madhya Pradesh use the state's paddy procurement system, which includes 795 purchasing facilities, 199 runners, and 795 data entry workers, to sell their crops.

MP E-Uparjan 2022: Goals and Mission

The online registration process for Krishi Mandi proved difficult for farmers in Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, they were forced to sell it below the support rate. This caused a significant economic strain on the farming community. By making it possible to register online through the MP E-procurement site, the e uparjan hopes to help farmers with some of the problems they are facing right now. As of this year, farmers in the state will have access to a publicly accessible Uparjan Kendra for e-procurement, saving them both time and money.

Online Registration On the E-Procurement Platform

Getting started with MP E-procurement online through Krishi Upaj Mandi presented many challenges for farmers in the past. Now that the government has set up a website, farmers in Madhya Pradesh can register from the convenience of their own homes.

Earnings can be obtained through MP E-procurement by purchasing, selling, and transporting the commodities in a total of six distinct steps. An illustration of each of these six steps can be found in the following:

  1. The first step is for the farmer to make his way to the warehouse. It is mandatory for the farmer to show up in person at the procurement centre to be registered

  2. Once the farmer registers, they will be given a code to use in future transactions

  3. A short message service (SMS) will then be sent to the farmer, informing them of the exact date on which their wheat was purchased

  4. The farmer must now visit the procurement facility on the SMS-sent date

  5. Then, the farmer will sell wheat and give a receipt

  6. After this, the farmer will receive the full wheat payment
