Objectives
The main aims of the scheme are
- To enable families from economically weaker, backward or marginalised sections (Below Poverty Line, SC, ST, OBC) to have secure, permanent housing instead of kutcha/dilapidated structures.
- To provide the necessary raw materials/subsidy so that the cost burden on the beneficiary is significantly reduced.
- To improve overall living standards, including health, safety and dignity through appropriate housing.
- To integrate with the state’s “housing for all” goals and ensure that no eligible family is left without basic shelter.
