Blue Line Metro Route Chennai Extension

The commencement of the Blue Line Metro Chennai extension is initiated at Wimco Nagar metro station. This extension spans a length of 9.05 kilometers, introducing an additional 7 metro stations to the current list of 26 stations on the Blue Line Metro Chennai. The expansion project was undertaken by the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) through a collaborative effort between the Government of India and the Tamil Nadu government.
