Housing Projects In Greater Noida Get New Wings With Metro's Aqua Line

The Delhi Metro network will start operating in three new routes by the end of December 2018. The combined length of the corridors of 50 km will finally mark the completion of Delhi Metro's Phase III project

For those who have been eagerly waiting for a metro ride in Greater Noida, the operation of Aqua Line is a thrilling piece of news. The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has completed the final round of safety inspection of this route. The Aqua Line will be notably a significant public transport option for the area connecting Noida and Greater Noida, having 19 rakes with four cars each, and every train will reportedly be equipped with a passenger information system, a public address system, and an emergency announcement system from an operation control center.

The real estate market in Greater Noida is well-known for providing affordable options to homebuyers of the national capital region. Property values in this region, however, stayed stagnant for years due to the lack of connectivity. The game has changed now as both commercial and residential projects got a blessing to thrive.

Being built at a cost of ₹ 5,503 crores, the elevated corridor connecting Noida to Greater Noida will have a total of 21 stations including sectors 50, 51, 78, 101, 81, Dadri road, 83, 85, 137, 142, 143, 144, 147, 153 and sector 149 in Noida; and Knowledge Park-II, Knowledge Park-I, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 in Greater Noida. The route will finally end at the Delta Depot Station, proposed near the recreational green, Knowledge Park-IV in Greater Noida.

Apart from being a facilitator for real estate growth, the Aqua Line would also solve other real-time problems such as a reduction in the burden on the infrastructure of Delhi. A large migrant working population living in Delhi is likely to shift in Noida and Greater Noida. Congestion on roads would decrease too as more and more people would prefer this new metro route to travel.
